The combination of V-Bonds with excellent damping characteristics and plastic fixtures in our shipment containers ensure that delicate components are secured and separated to optimum effect.
Typical V-Bond application – a pallet for transporting vehicle wings:
Green: Two soft V-Bond strips support the underside of the vehicle wings
Orange: Soft sprung support from V-Bond strips with a sandwich coating; a cut-resistant surface (solid) with a foam-textured intermediate layer (foam)
Black: Hard tooth-contoured moulded strips separate and hold the wings in place
White: Soft locating strips protect the wings from damage during loading and transport
For decades, it has been standard practice to use our V-Bonds as hold-down devices or retainers in shipment containers and load carriers.
If the V-Bond is mounted on the loaded goods with light pressure, the softness of the material enables a pocket formation to separate the goods. The resetting properties of the V-Bond enables it to return to its original state in little time. If the V-Bond is lightly mounted on top of the loaded goods, the V-Bond cushions the jumping parts, thereby protecting them from damage.
The disappearance of tooling costs, the simple assembly and not least the resulting potential to implement at short notice offers a cost-effective solution.
Vehicle and body parts, painted plastic or steel parts, any products which need to make it to the final assembly from the place of manufacture will need transport containers or loading carriers which guarantee that the products will reach their final destination without damage.
For paint and body shops, our paint and assembly racks on the one hand offer optimal protection to the components and on the other hand all kinds of disassembled vehicle parts can be collected and stored in a space-saving way.
In addition to damage-free storage, the great advantage is that during longer-term repairs or restorations, the frame holding the disassembled parts can, for example, be driven to another storage location so that it is out of the way in the workshop. Furthermore, during later assembly, there is no need to search for the parts because they can all be found in the assembly frame which can be labeled with externally applied clip boards.
The use of VIEBAHN V-Bonds also contributes to the optimisation of circumstances in the fields of industrial safety and sound insulation. An important issue in many companies and branches of industry.
As a head, impact and machinery protection, V-Bond is applied to concrete posts, lintels, HGV ramps, car doors or even high shelving. Because of the sheet metal backing, it can be optimally screwed or riveted in the form of a flat material or also angular profiles. Glued solutions do not stand up to the test as vibrations and changes in temperature cause them to loosen over time.
